The EMR (Electronic Medical Records) mandate is a perfect example of strategic planning!
We know that the government is requiring all medical facilities to use EMR’s by a certain date.
Now is the time we need to get started on the changes required:
in 6 months…
- we’re going to need to have a new server in place
- we need to start talking to software vendors (at least three)
in 8 months…
- we’ll need to have made a decision on a vendor
- start implementing software for testing
so that in 12 months…(our established goal)
- we’ve got everything in place for a smooth and final transition
